← DOS 4.0
Version strings displayed by COMMAND.COM and VER command in IBM DOS 4.02.
Hello Michal. Some source are saying that PS/1 computers had DOS 4.01 in ROM. So, what identifies this DOS as 4.02 and not 4.00 or 4.01 ?
The timestamps, essentially… the displayed version strings never changed, but the PS/1 DOS shows Copyright 1990, which makes it significantly newer than the 1988 release of 4.01. The file dates are also correspondingly newer.
Mind sharing this or uploading it to Beta Archive?
Sorry, I don’t have the original disks or anything worth preserving, just a few files.
