I’ve been trying to complete my archive of Intel SDM documents circa 2000 and later. I have most of the editions archived but a few are missing. Readers of this blog could have something stashed away too, so perhaps someone could help? I’m looking for original PDFs with no modifications, at least not obvious ones.
First the missing Documentation Changes issues. Those tend to be hard to find as most users don’t seem to care about them.
252046-001 252046-002252046-005252046-006252046-008252046-012252046-013252046-015 252046-017 252046-019 252046-023252046-024252046-033252046-034252046-041
And now the actual SDM in current format:
253666-028US253666-035US253667-035US253668-036US325462-039US253666-041US 253668-041US 326018-041US 326019-041US 325384-042US252046-049US253665-049US 253666-049US 253667-049US 253668-049US 253669-049US 325383-049US 325384-049US325462-049US326018-049US
The 049 edition was short lived and I failed to grab it in time. Anything not listed here I should have, from the 013 edition up to (currently) 057. The 013 and 014 editions were not clearly marked but from 015 up the revision number is clearly shown on the cover.
I may also be missing some of the earliest issues of the older set, document numbers 245470, 245471, and 245472. Unfortunately around 2001 Intel did not clearly mark the editions and only the PDF modification date hints that something was changed.
The 1990s documents are if anything even worse and I don’t know how to even find out what was published. I probably have most of them but no way to be certain.
Update: Thanks to helpful readers, the list of missing documents is now shorter.
hi,
how do i get these to you?

Thanks!
Okay, that looks like what I’m looking for. But how did you find these documents? They don’t come up in Google. I’m clearly doing something wrong or I would have found these long ago.
Thanks!
I found the first three with just a (U.S.) Google search. All of them were in the first few results along with your post.
The fourth only generated a closely related volume so I opened the folder where it was located to check for its companions and 253668-036US was there.
Using filetype:pdf might help narrow the searches.
Yeah, now I see them too. I don’t know why I couldn’t find them earlier. Anyway, thanks!
Could you make the collection available, please ? Apparently, old editions of SDM are useful sometimes, but I am sure that many people, me included, do not keep copies around.
My hosting provider would probably not be happy if I just dumped everything on the site (it’s a lot). I can make a few specific versions available, if you tell me which ones. Or I can work with someone else who has more bandwidth.
How large the set is ? My estimations give around 1GB for it.
I can put it for public access on my local machine, which is always on. This means that I would not guarantee a backup and 100% link uptime. I may also try to arrange more reliable hosting for the collection, after it is put up initially.
You have my mail, it is better to continue discussion not on the blog.
I’m also willing to host them if desired – I have the bandwidth and space, but it is a home server and doesn’t get much above 99% uptime. 🙂
The documents are now available here thanks to a helpful reader. The presentation needs more work (on my part) but the Intel SDM archive files are all there — or at least all that I have. Nearly 20 years worth of SDMs.
